Epcot

EPCOT Walt Disney World is one of 4 Theme Parks that make up Orlando, Florida's, Walt Disney World resort. It covers 300 acres, and hosts over 11 million guests every year. EPCOT is an acronym for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Walt Disney had a dream of building a permanent community with full-time residents that would serve as a test-bed for future city planning and management. Sadly, Walt passed away before his dream could be realized, but the theme park is a tribute to his vision, and legacy.

The park is made up of two sections:

• Future World has many rides, both fast and furious, and slow and relaxing, as well as inspiring entertainment focusing on innovation, and technological advancements.
• World Showcase is a collection of pavilions around the World Showcase Lagoon, with shops, restaurants, live entertainment, and attractions representing the culture of 11 countries: Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Morocco, Japan, Italy, Germany, China, Mexico, and Norway.

Spaceship Earth, Epcot

EPCOT also host several annual large-scale special events.

• The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is held in the spring, and features themed floral displays all through the park, and demonstrations, and advice from gardening experts.
• The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival draws gourmets, and wine connoisseurs from all over the world, to sample some of the best international cuisine and vintages available, hosted by celebrity chefs.

• Holidays Around The World features storytellers in each of the World Showcase pavilions, describing their nation’s holiday traditions. There are three nightly performances of the "Candlelight Processional", featuring a selected choir, and narrated by a guest celebrity. And on New Year’s Eve, the park offers additional entertainment and a mass Count-Down to the New Year.
